Saw a pair of black speakers, about knee-high, in a thrift shop today for $25. They had an Optimus logo at the base, a big woofer (15"?) on the bottom and a tweeter and horn on top (tweeter on left, horn on right). The cabinets were a strange triangular -- or maybe trapezoidal -- configuration. I know that Optimus is a Realistic brand, but a cursory look at Optimus speaker pictures on the Internet didn't turn up anything even vaguely similar.
I might have purchased them as a novelty for $25 (the woofer cones and surrounds seemed fine), but one of the tweeter domes had been dished in -- although it didn't look as if it had been punctured. I didn't know how that would affect the sound -- or if it could be popped out again.
Can anyone offer identification of these and an opinion on their quality -- and also address the tweeter dome issue??
Thanks...
