Optimus STS 50 Any good???

I have a line on a pair of Optimus STS 50's.
Don't need them but they look like a later iteration of Minimus 7's.
Anyone here have any opinions/knowledge of them?

My very first set of component speakers. Not horrible, and to the ears of a kid who just got his first set of speakers, they were great. I modded the daylights out of mine until the cabinets gave up.

Not related to the Minimus series at all. Bigger cabinet, cone tweeter, and so on.

I figured if they are close to the Minimus line they would not be half bad. Seller is not asking much so might give them a look.

my father had a pair of those. They sounded perfectly OK.

I have a set of those I use for testing receivers. They were given to me by Mhardy a while back. They sound OK but the smaller Minimus 7's sound better to me. If you can pick them up cheap ($5) they make a good test speaker or for something small in the kitchen or bath.

Picked them up today and they are in excellent condition very similar to the photo Rod-G posted. Sound is Ok as was described but as also mentioned not up to Minimus 7 standards. Highs can be a little harsh but with a little EQ they can be managed. Will work for the small desk set-up I plan to use them for or as test bench speakers.
