If 1000 people answer this thread.. you're gonna get 1000 different answers...

My list would also include Crown, Altec, JBL, Klipsch, WattPuppy, Ohm, Mackie, Yamaha, Cerwin Vega, Electrovoice, Utah...

I think you get my drift...

No correct answer here. IMHO though, you really slapped Kenwood in the face. They made many fine pieces of gear.

I'm going by electronics/computers in general:

THE GOOD:
Samsung, Technics, Antec, Asus.

THE GOOD AND BAD:
(Meaning they make good stuff as well as junk)
Kenwood, RCA, Sony, Magnavox, Toshiba, Foxconn, Dell, HP/Compaq, various other brands...

THE BAD:
Radio Shack, eMachines, Zenith, various no name brands...

Realistic made a 15" speaker called the Mach One that was and still is very popular for Rock music. It's the only Radio Shack speakers that I own and probably the only worth bring up. Did anyone mention ESS?

Another set of speakers that rat shack made that are good are the Minimus 7's (and variants thereof). And I have to say, The older Radio Shack gear is pretty good. From the one Tandy I have (it has a 386 20mhz in it) to the receiver I use (realistic STA-85), it is all pretty nice.

Sounds like you're talking present production items. I'm referring to their vintage stuff. Realistic brand made quite a few respectable items, in my opinion. And I'm talking about audio products solely.

I am talking about present day stuff. It can be assumed that most of the brands I listed made overall better stuff 20-30 years ago.
