Dire Straits the studio albums from 1978-1991. They look to be a good pressing and remaster.

The UHQR has already missed its ship date of 10/16. My Copy of Hendrix UHQR was a almost a year delayed. They said this one will not have issues, but we will see.

Should be some nice additions to my record collection, and I think I will cull my regular pressings of Dire Straits.

I have ordered a number of these pressings. Quite nice but I am not certain it was worth the price. Let us know how you like it and whether you think there is value to it.
 
I see AL all over eBay but ASounds shows it still on pre-order. Do you know if it's currently shipping?
 
The Aqualung UHQR tempted me for a moment, as I don;t have any version of that album and thought it'd be a good UHQR "try out."
But waffle waffle waffle, and wanna know if it is "worth the price of admittance."
Please let us know your thoughts when it arrives.

Edit: I admit hesitation is price but also, shelf space these "boxes" take up.

Oh man, the Dire Straits box set repress has got me drooling. I may need to pick this one up. I'd love to hear your impressions when you get it!

Yeah, thanks. I was trying to figure out if AS just didn't update their site.
 
I ordered my copy of Aqualung in early September 2020, it's status was listed as "Back Ordered".
On the release date (10/16/20) it was still listed as "Back Ordered". A couple of days later the status was changed to "On Hold" with an explanation that they were waiting for me to respond with some information (I never received a request for more information). WFT? So I sent them a message and got the following response:

"They began shipping last week. We are doing our best to ship them in order of the date that all preorders were placed, from oldest to most recent. This may take several weeks (possibly longer) to complete, as we have over 5,000 copies to send out, and it's not logistically feasible for us to ship them all out the same day.
Due to the high volume of orders, we will not be able to provide specific details as to when a particular order will ship, but you will receive a tracking e-mail once it does."

I dunno...5000 copies, you would think it shouldn't take that long, especially since they were pre-ordered.

Over on the Steve Hoffman Website, at least one member has received his copy (number 000816).
 
Well I just called Acoustic Sounds, and I had ordered two copies. The rep says I will get two, and that my order will fill this weekend or next week. I am on the list to where they are not sold out, and mine will fill....which is good news for me.
