Hi,
I recently bought a pair of Advent loudspeakers, circa 1975.
They sound good, but the high frequency switch at the back of the speaker seems to make little or to my ears no difference when switched between its three settings.
The caps (revision 2 crossover, 16uf and 8uf) seem to be the originals and so are long due for replacement in any case, so would switching those fix the high frequency switching issue? Or is the problem something else? And, even in new condition, are the 3 frequency positions perceptibly different in most instances in any case?
Thank you!
