Original Rega Elicit - how to open? Solved!

Anyone here know how to open up the clamshell version of the Rega Elicit? I cannot find anything online discussing how to do it, the manual only states to take it to an official Rega dealer and have them do it. I think there is a high end hi fi shop around the Raleigh area that is Rega dealer, but I'm sure they'll charge me a ton of money if they even had anyone on staff that knows how to do it.

Surely there has to be someone in this world that can tell me how to open the ding dang ol' thing. There are no screws on the case anywhere that I can see. There is a seam that goes all around the amp, but I'm not just going to randomly stick a screwdriver in there in an attempt to badly use physics to open it. Unless I have to, that is, 'cause I will. /sigh

Yes! The feet double as bolts! The innards have been checked out. I looked pretty closely at the innards and everything looked to be in good shape still. There are a bunch of red LED lights scattered throughout the inside. While they all lit up, one way in the back wasn't as bright as the others. I had to turn off the light in the room to really see it lit up.

I wonder what the proper method of checking for DC offset is.

Yes, there is a sticky on how to measure the DC offset, but I'm not convinced that the method provided there is the same method that this amp requires. I say that because I had a HK 330c that required you to connect an 8ohm load to the speaker terminals for the measurement process. Unfortunately, there is no service manual to be found for this Rega Elicit so I can't be sure what the proper method is to measure for DC offset. /sad trombone

Edited to add:
I did use the method in the sticky thread, but the measurement bounced all over the place during the entire measurement time.
