ortofon omb question

so..on a 1218 that was given to me, there was an ortofon omb cart mounted, and all it really says is omb on the cart, nothing on the stylus. So question is, should I assume this is a 5? or..10? All this leading up to stylus replacement, are these different series happy and interchangeable, or do we have to stay specific? If the former, then what is the range of choices? If the latter, with no other indication, how would one determine exactly which it was, since theres nothing to indicate that I can see, and according to google images, they all look the same except for whats printed on it.

Hello,the OM&OMB series all interchange and are the same the B in OMB is for bulk purchase's in quantity.all stylus in this series will fit either one OM5E,10,20,30,40
If your stylus has no marking on it i would say it's a generic copy.

Thanks for the info and turn on..just ordered a digitrac, so we shall see...why does everytime I see that name make me think jeep wagoneer?
