Ortofon VMS 30 mk ii black stylus

hello everyone
I recently found an Ortofon VMS 30 mkii cartridge in almost new condition with original box, even the screws are in the box, unused.
The cartridge has a stylus mounted on it but in black, all the others I've seen online are blue.
Does anyone know what the difference is?

Hard to tell by the pic. Does the stylus tip have dust collected on it?

i have 2 original styluses and they are both blue...never seen black ones...

your looks genuine, i don't think somebody is making such precise fake ones for a cart long out of production...but, you never know...maybe ortofon made some at the end of life for vms30...they were out of blue plastic

no it is not, there is no dust, the needle is in excellent condition, I mounted it on a tp 62/Thorens 145 mk ii and it has such a sound that I was surprised, a lot of details that I have not heard before

there's also an Ortofon VMS Excusiv edition even though everyone thinks it doesn't exist.
