P-L75 Just How Bad Is This Thing?

I was given a P-L75 DD linear tracking table for free awhile ago. When I plug it in and press start the platter spins and groans and then stops. The arm doesn't move at all. I have no interest in using this myself, but if a little TLC might make it work, would it be worth giving to someone else? It seems really cheap and plastic, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Thanks!

This table isn't worth a $10 ebay, loose in the box shipping!
I kept playing with it and got the arm to move, but it wouldn't move all the way to the record. It got half the way there and then the platter stopped. I think it might be a freecycle or goodwill special.
On the bright side of plastic turntables, I passed along a free working table to a guy today, and he went down my sidewalk doing the .
At least I accomplished something today!:thmbsp:

Well, judging by the tumbleweeds blowing through this thread, it is that bad.:D It will be freecycled asap.

Is the belt something that would be worth the cost, to get it going as a table for someone new to vinyl? I'd like to spread the love of vinyl to someone else, but I don't think this table is worth enough to spend much money on.

It's a very small belt and can't be expensive.

Thanks, I'll do a little digging on the belt info. I'll either get it going and make a little, or(more likely) pass along the info to whoever takes it.
