P-mount tables...

After reading Technics P-mount on steroids it got me to thinking what other higher end non-linear tt's used p-mounts. I'm a plug and play guy so this table has piqued my interest. That being said how about the guru's here show me what other tables used p's.

P was still a bad idea on most. But just about every Japanese manufacturer made them. A conventional headshell which took a P-Mount directly should have been how they were implemented. That way the user had choice.

P-mounts being a bad idea probably has been discussed ad nauseum. The Technics SL-M2 seems to be a better high end p-mount table and my interest simply is were there any other similar tt's.

I have a Technics SL-MA1 in my system at work. It's a full automatic pivot-arm p-mount table. Technics, having developed the p-mount/T4P standard, didn't just use p-mount on their low end models, like some other manufacturers.

The Technics SL-M1 and SL-M2 come with both headshell attachments ( may only be JDM).

I'd still love to own one of those Technics headshells that took the T4P cartridges directly. It's useful to have for good cartridges like the Digitracs and others.

They may show up on Hi Fi Do.

Hopefully the built-in overhang is appropriate for other Technics S-arms.......
