Pain meds and me ...

They let me come home yesterday, but forgot to give me my check-out "packet" with all the medical mumble-jumble for my regular doc.
Reading my first post here, "?W?H?AT was I thinking about driving to the supermarket.

Did get a lot of music listening in yesterday, and will boost the volume after the neighbor leaves for work. Or, go take a nap.

Drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest. You'll feel much better. I'm thinking about ya Pete! :yes:

I have noticed that taking the meds (take one or two as necessary :scratch2: ) and staying awake makes you feel funny.
Well I discovered tjat of upi stay aseau upi fee; rea;;u ,messed i[/
I had to get to the drugstore for my stash, and drkvkng is not recommended when you're a bit stoned.
So aI've been listening to the stereo. Received one of the music boxes compleely out of the blue.
Some good stfff gus.
Just put on the Moody ?BVues Vo8ice to the sky,. was this a compilai\tion album or a rfegular disk.
then damnitall I've been constipated to boot.

Hope you're feeling better soon. The pain meds are what cause the constipation. Flax seed will help; 1 to 2 tablespoons a day (not at the same time!) mixed in food or a smoothie or shake. They taste like sawdust so you don't want to gulp them down!

I know how you feel, bully - I had the same experiences after my own surgery. But hang in there, drink lots of water, and don't stop taking the pills until the pain has naturally decreased, because if you do let the pain get through it is much harder to get it reduced again.
