paint brushes for record repair

I've been using #3 paint brushes for record repairs; skip removal, white spec removal, gunk removal, in conjunction with Nitty Gritty Pure 2 fluid.

Nylon and acrylic paint brushes from Michaels.

I clip the brush with sharp scissors or a razor so the brush length is 1-2mm, which provides mechanical strength for digging out defects.

I just cured a skip using a clipped brush.

Nylon and natural hair are preferred over acrylic because the latter can leave minute marks, but sometimes there's just no other way to repair a record.
