I got a free Fisher EQ-870 equalizer, cheap of course, but pure Japanese.
The lid was rusty, everything was fine inside, but according to the schematic, there was nothing good inside anyway.
So, on one side the paint was swollen, and there the rust did its job.
Anyway, I washed it, it became like new, and the lid was for painting. I cleaned it with 250 car sandpaper, then 400 and sanded it with 1000.
The coating was successful, without smudges and dust particles. The next step is to extend the RCA cable, it is very short, but the reason is known, extending the cable may lead to additional interference and distortion. I will still try and extend the cable.
Made a temporary paint booth in the garage))

Applying primer with 2 layers
Apply paint 2-3 layers
