Pairing a set of Thiel CS3.6s with my Sansui G9000??

Hello,
Short time newb audio enthusiast, first time poster. So, there is a set of Thiel CS3.6s that are for sale in my area, and I'm wondering how they would sound with my system. I've done some research, and from what I've read, these speakers really accent flaws and imperfections in the chain of sound, but they sound amazing, (from what I've read) and provide a nice kick to the low end. I've read great things about the crossover and deisgn of the layout of the speakers as well. The G9000 is in a large open concept room, and we play generally rock music through either the turntable or radio. I have a Carver M-1.5t amplifier that I intend to use with these speakers, but was wondering what some other opinions of these speakers and the pairing I'm looking at may be.
Thanks for reading and helping me out!

Those Thiels drop to 2.5 ohms so you need a very healthy amp to drive them. They're rated at 4 ohms but in reality they're under 4 ohms from 70 Hz to 20k Hz.
Gotcha, the amp I have is a Carver M-1.5t, which indicates in the manual, that it should be able to run anything between "2 and 32 ohms, although impedences excessively over 16 ohms will cause some reduction in available power output" Is this enough??

Yes, I believe the Carter would do but I don't recommend the G9000 (or just about any other receiver ever made) for those speakers.

Those are great speakers! I have CS2.3's and they like power. And are EXTREMELY revealing of any upstream gear weaknesses. A poorly produced CD recording sounds like hell on mine. I find most SACD's sound very nice on them though.

JMO, I'd use the Carver with those Thiels.
My very short wish list includes a G9000 (and OnkyoTX -8500 mkII)and I'd hate to see yours damaged trying to handle a load it wasn't designed to run.
