Pairing TD-160 / New Large Advents with ... Matantz 2230?

I have owned a few Marantz recievers, love them. I like the lights. Anyway, I have a Thorens TD-160/Shure97 , Advent New Large speakers. The only non-vintage part of my setup is my Onkyo receiver. It works but remember the phono on my previous Marantz was really good. So, wanting to swap my Onkyo for a Marantz 2230. Would this be a good pairing for my Thorens and speakers? Ok, thanks! I have read the wattage is not an issue. I do remember when I went from 25 to 50 watts Marantz, it made a big difference.

A Marantz 2230 will power Advents just fine. Just be careful if you turn it up to ear-splitting levels. Could end up clipping and do some speaker damage.
