Not a lot of information on solutions for this on the Internet. Great portable unit, particularly the bass given the egg design. The woofers are problematic in these old units as they have a kind of "twirl" design that was prone to cracking but also makes it near impossible to re-foam. (Or repair, whatever the correct term is.)
Am looking for replacement speakers. The only "solution" I've read online is a guy who modified some "monacor SP-45/4 10.0680" speakers to fit in his RX DT75 .. which not only is a difficult install (the screws don't align, etc) but the speakers are only available from Germany with a shipping charge that outweighs the purchase price.
Am wondering is anybody is familiar with this boombox (or "egg") and has a solution or suggestion. It really does have an impressive and unusual sound with the low-end fully intact.
