Panasonic Thrusters: How bad are they? Let's find out!

I had one of those bronze 8 track receivers for a few months in the mid-1980's.

It sounded fairly good to my ears vs my brand new JVC 20 watter, through the speakers I built with (ironically) Thruster cabinets with Realistic 6.5 woofers and dome tweeters.

The Thrusters that came with my (not the bronze unit) Panasonic all in one system had only 5 1/4 full range drivers, and I blew them cranking that JVC.

I remember trading away that bronze unit, but can't remember what I traded it for.
 
...and what's the deal with that pic of the JC Penney receiver that says "Matched Component Systems"??

Instead of "Modular....."
