Paradigm 11SE MK3

I understand that the sound of a speaker is somewhat subjective and different people like different speakers for different reasons. I have a chance to get a pair of paradigm 11se mk3s for pretty cheap.
Just wanted to know if anyone has owned these and what you thought. Also, paradigm is not a name I'm familiar with, are they quality?
I haven't gone to see or listen to them yet, just didn't want to waste an hour drive to get disappointed.

Thanks

I had a pair of 11se mk2, stout cabinets & sounded nice, near full range sound and never fatiguing. Easy to drive too

the pair I bought the rubber surrounds on the woofers were dryrotted and needed replacement, def check that

They are good quality speakers. Still their top model from the lower tier "Performance Series". if used for HT duty I doubt youd be disappointed. not the most transparent or revealing speakers for music compared to their "Monitor" and "Studio" lines". It depends what your priorities are. If you like inoffensive non fatiguing
sound with lots of bass then go for them.

Edit, check that the surrounds are still glued tightly to the cone....dust caps too. Paradigm had some surround peeling issues in the past

Thanks guys. They want $200 for the pair. Not sure I can talk him down much tho, he already dropped from $400. He will have them hooked to a receiver so that I can hear them and check them out.

I had a pair of the mk3. Was not impressed with them. They were 8ohm and needed lots of power to drive them. Ended up buying a pair of MK2. 4 ohm and sound way better to me.

Those are very good speakers for $200. They originally sold for just over $1000 and were a good deal at that. I've heard them driven with a 50 wpc amp and they played loud.
