Paradigm 9se MkII - Capacitor combinations

Thanks to advice from this forum I ended up with a pair of 25-ish year old Paradigms. I'm pretty sure there were some pointers on replacing the crossover caps in the original thread but unfortunately that thread was lost in May's forum crash. Anyway, there is a slight difference in tweeter range between the two and an overall dullness to the sound so I'd like to try my hand at replacing the capacitors.

I pried out one of the woofers and with some finagling managed to figure out there are two sets of bipolar electrolytic caps (100v) in the crossover (22 uF + 1.5 uF and 15 uF + 3.3 uF) as well as a couple of film caps, 6.6 MFD (I assume that means uF?) 200v + 1.5 uF 50v, both marked +/- 10%.

I'm planning to replace them with Dayton 250v 5% PPs in the following combinations:
15 uF + 8.2 uF
18 uF
8.2 uF
(3.3 uF and 10 uF 250V caps are out of stock at PE)

Does this sound reasonable to all of you who have gone through this? Should I bother with the (actually reasonable) expense of film caps or should I save the $25 and replace the BPEs with the same?

I don't see a problem with what you plan to do. If you don't plan on keeping them 25 years I'd prob just use good quality electrolytes...but then, its only 25 bucks.

I would keep the original values. I experimented with my 5se MkII and the original values sounded the best. There is something funky going on with the way they designed these crossovers so keep it original.

I also replaced the resistors with same value Mills and that cleaned up the sound a lot.
