Paradigm Atom resonance issue

Hi, new to this forum but longtime budget audiophile.

I have a pair of Atoms v6 which have worked great for years as rear surrounds. Recently one of them started resonating in the lower midrange, I'm guessing around 400 Hz. This happens randomly with a variety of sounds and is not limited to any one source.

I first thought it was the magnetic grill vibrating, but taking the grill off doesn't help. I've tried several positions around the room, no change. From the outside everything looks perfect.

What do you think is the issue? is it fixable?

Maybe spider has come unglued at some spot on cone? They are easy enough to take apart and take a look if I remember correctly.
 
It's either the spider coming unglued, the dust cap coming unglued, or the voice coil leads becoming unglued from the cone. One of the three. Either way, fixable using a cheap ass squeeze bottle of Alene's clear glue.
 
Pretty clearly the culprit here. Should I just glue down this part, or reinforce the whole rim of the spider? Seems logical other areas might be on the verge of failing too.

Others probably are better able to inform you on this repair, but I would guess if you can go around the spider and clean all or as much of the old glue off, and then try and re-glue around the whole thing might be good. Could be the old glue is just getting a bit hard and brittle?

Then again, trying to redo the entire thing might be not worth the trouble versus spot repair and rolling with it! I’m of no help!
 
I glued down the visibly detached part shown in the above link, using Aleene's, and let it dry. It looked like a perfect repair but unfortunately the resonance issue is completely unaffected by the repair! The spider seems snugly glued down everywhere else and I can find no other obvious glue issues.

Miraculously, I found a SINGLE Atom v6 speaker for sale on ebay in good condition, $50 shipped. One of those moments where you're like, maybe this is all a simulation? lol

Well worth $50 in my opinion. It would obviously cost at least $50 to have a speaker shop repair mine, and I'm happy to avoid several more hours/days/weeks of trying to find the issue and fix myself. Thanks for all the advice nonetheless.
