Parasound 2100 vs Vincent Audio - SA-31

Hi guys & gals. Been thinking about replacing my trusty NAD 1130 pre and am wondering if anyone owns or has owned the Parasound 2100 pre or the Vincent Audio SA-31 pre. They both look very appealing. Judging from the specs and from online reviews, the Parasound 2100 is a winner. I like the high pass/ low pass outs and it has a MM/MC phono section. The Vincent Audio is a line stage only but from what I've read online, it uses a vacuum tube output stage and it sounds really nice. Would I hear a huge difference compared to the NAD 1130? The rest of my humble system consists of an Emotiva XPA-3 amp, a/d/s/ L8e speakers, NHT and Acoustech subs, a Phono Box SE II , YAQIN Tube Buffer, Denon DCM-380 and a bunch of turntables.
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I have read many nice things about the Parasound 2100. I like the many functions. You know I like the Halo series as well.

A friend had a set of Vincent gear that smoked the second day he had it. It was the CD Player and integrated but I don't know the models.

Parasound.

Parasound is a well-respected manufacturer of high quality electronics dating back almost 30 years, and they have always had a foot in the “value high end” arena of affordable but high quality electronics. Their “New Classic” line of amplifiers, preamplifiers, processors, and source components are in many cases based on previously successful Parasound designs, and offer high quality at reasonable prices.

I have a Parasound 2100 with the 2250 amplifier. So far I am very impressed with their performance in my modest system. As mentioned, the 2100 has many nice features. The phono stage is good but I would not call it great. My vintage Pioneer SA-6500 II integrated has a better phono stage IMHO. It's all about compromises and trade offs. I do listen to more digital recordings these days than analog and the 2100 works great for that. The remote is simple and well laid out but has no backlighting, which I personally could care less about. The 12 volt trigger is a nice feature as is the adjustable sub out. I do wish it had a second set of pre-outs should I want to bi-amp in the future but that's a minor complaint. My only experience with Vincent gear was a SS integrated, don't recall the model. There must have been something wrong with it as it was the brightest most unpleasant sounding piece of gear I have ever had!:thumbsdn: I gave it to a friend of mine who I think eventually threw it away. Bottom line, I really like my Parasound combo and would certainly recommend them given their price point vs. performance.:thmbsp:

The Parasound 2100 has the convenient Home Theater bypass that automatically gets selected when the unit is off, which makes it easier for the rest of our family members to operate for movies.

No I don't like Emotiva based on the 1 bad experience last year when I bought a new Emotiva BasX-A3.

A year ago I bought the Emotiva BasX-A3 amp because they said it's great for LCR speakers. Well, I bought it but it was not clear and dynamic for the difficult human voices/ dialogue/vocalist/music, it's better for sound effects so I relegated it to my surround speakers, then I finally sold it 6 months ago.

I've been happy with receivers and amps from: Parasound (I have 2250v2, two 2125v2, zonemaster2) and Arcam AVR5.

I am very happy with my 1st standalone preamp: Parasound zpre3 (see my youtube video) so I am upgrading to the Parasound NewClassic 2100 (I put in an order this morning) which has even better specs than the zpre3.
