Hello all.
Picked this amp a few days ago did a test run last night. The amp was hooked up to some Sonys SSCS5's and was sounding great when about the three hour mark it suddenly stopped working.
Tried turning it back on but the relays aren't clicking on and it stays on standby mode.
Now, it didn't come with the original power cord and I used a cheap, generic cord I had laying around. The manual says to only use the provided cable.
Could I have fried something by using a generic ac power cable??
Any advice, thoughts/opinions, will be greatly welcomed and much appreciated.
Also want to add that I already spoke with Parasound and they referred me to a repair shop nearby. I spoke to the owner who actually praised and spoke highly of this model and after our talk I'm prepared to spend a few hundred to fix it.
That said, I do dabble with repairs from time to time and I'm not afraid to open things up as long as I have clear instructions. My hail Mary hope is that maybe it's something I can do on my own.
