I have a Parasound HCA-600. I think it's a terrific sounding amp. I'm not really a bass guy, necessarily, but it's bottom end is super tight, and even though the genres I listen too don't really have a huge amount, what I do have sounds wonderful.
I can push hard enough to produce the upper limits of dBs i desire by maxing out the 60WPC, but I have to run my pre-amp at 100% as well and that reveals the tiny amount of noise present in my source turntable. That being said, I plan to upgrade to big brother 800ii.
Told you that to ask this. Comparing the 600 and the 800ii in their respective manuals, they list the dampening factor at > 800 at 20 Hz while the 800ii lists >100 at 20 Hz. If you go up to the 1000 series, the dampening is >1000 at 20Hz. I don't pretend to completely understand the science behind it, but I think it translates to that tight bass that I like so much. I can't see why they would have such a discrepancy between models and am left to hope that this is a typo. Does anyone know anything about this or should I contact Parasound directly? Thoughts or opinions welcome...

ie. both L and R. Blew 4 fuses in one channel and one fuse in the other channel.I pulled the amplifier output assembly with the 4 blown fuses. The only thing wrong...4 fuses.
