Parasound or Hafler?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an amp. It's down to 2 choices, a Parasound HCA1200 and a Hafler XL 280. Sir Hafler is a nice amp but the Parasound has more horsepower. Has anyone experience with either of these products and have any input? Last Hafler I had was a DH200 and although it was a good amp, I didn't like the absence of low end. I'll be using the amp to drive a ser of Infinity Column ii's.

Your mistaken if you think the amps don't have bass. Now because they are fast and cleans and have higher damping factor they control woofers very well and maybe you don't want that. But they do not lack bass unless they are in severe need of servicing which highly unlikely.

I haggled a bit and wound up with the Parasound.

I agree with @twiiii, the DH-200 is perfectly capable of delivering sufficient power for the low end. Something was wrong with that amp you had. That being said, the Parasound HCA1200 is a good amp.

That's kind of what I was thinking. It had low end, but it just wasn't as prominent as I had expected. The Infinities are a bit of a bottomless pit as far as being hungry for power though.
