I am just finishing an MTM transmission line for myself. I was inspired by the Madisound Thor kit (http://www.madisound.com/thor.html) designed by Joe D'Appolito. Mine is built of 6.5" Peerless drivers that were a custom job for a place I used to work. They're currently torn down and in the veneering process but while I had them up and running in the living room they trumped everything else I have. When they get done in the shop they'll be my new mains. If the PE ones are anything like them... However I haven't heard that model so I can't comment on it specifically, just the design type.

I am seeing that Parts Express calls their version a "transmission line".
Looks like a back-loaded horn enclosure to me.

What is the difference?
 
I think they simplified the box construction and that's why it looks like a horn. If you look at the enclosure drawing the line is getting smaller until it gets to the terminus. That part that looks like a horn is just the backside of the divider wall. After coming out of the 4" terminus the backwave is basically just seeing open air.
