Parts Express Speaker Kits

Well fixing to get started on my weekend project. Don't have the insulation, other box or amp pictured. There are a couple solen 6.8uf caps I have to put inline to the tweetere. Per amp manual. Should keep me out of trouble today.

Finished my project.

Well the first pic is one of the cabs fixing to go together. Note the 6.8uf cap in the center for tweeter protection. The next pic. is the finished cabs. The last is me adjusting the tweeter and woofer level controls. Now to hook it up to my PC. The total wattage for each speaker should be 76 watts. 18 to the tweet and 58 to the wooger. They sound really good. I think the woofer will break in some as it is very stiff. That's the way it is with the Peerless SLS line.
I just ordered a single tube Aric audio pre to go with these speakers. This C-1 I have, has a slight hum and pops when cut off.

Wow, those Dayton enclosures look really solid. Nice build! I wish they offered it as a kit with the crossovers pre-built.

Definitely give them feedback on the kit with Morels. Maybe they'll accommodate a cabinet mod for those who don't have any wood working tools!

I will, I've got a couple of good contacts at PE, and I have been really impressed with the morel 'mod'.. they are really quite exceptional sounding drivers!

The dayton enclosures are really quite nice, I'd swear I have seen a few professional speakers sporting what could be the same dayton cabs.
