Passed Up "Bad Ass Speakers" for JBL Lancer 99

Picked up a pair of JBL Lancer 99 today for $140, cabinets VG, grills VG and intact, LE14A woofers need new surrounds.......

Technics aren't worth anywhere near that price. Lancers were a score for sure!

The Technics sold for $300 a pair back in the mid 80's.

Though i haven't actually heard this model in person, i do have two pairs of mid 80's Technics speakers that sound real good.
I have the SB-K14's and SB-K476's. the responses are different enough to make these speakers not only loud, but very clean.
At 80w's per channel being ran into them, my neighbors don't like me much LoL.

Would i pay $800 for the Technics? No, but i wouldn't pay that kind of money for any used speaker.
