Just a few sentences to laud Member Patfont.
I was passively in the market for an Advent 300 receiver, mostly for the preamp/phono section.
Pat put up a BarterTown post for one that he had rebuilt, and having followed a few of Pat's posts, I jumped on it.
Gosh, what a nice, simple, straightforward transaction was. Pat had it awesomely packed (the USPS, UPS, and Fedex guys could have gotten together with a pony keg and tried to damage that packaging...), and on it's way in no time, and it arrived today, earlier than the tracking said.
Pat, terrific job. Impressive. And sounds wonderful. This modest receiver may be the nicest piece in my room.
Thanks, again
Todd
