Paul Kantner suffers heart attack

[CarlV]

Paul Kantner, co-founder of Jefferson Airplane, is recovering from a heart attack he suffered on Wednesday, forcing him to quit Jefferson Starship’s current tour, according to post on the band’s Facebook page.

Yesterday, the band posted a follow-up message: “Paul did indeed have a heart attack, he had a procedure this afternoon and he’ll be recovering in the hospital the next few days before heading back to San Francisco to recuperate.”

Best wishes Paul. I did not know they were touring, any other original members?

Paul Kantner

Thanks for letting us know Carl.

A prayer for Paul for sure. Been keeping up with him and his work since the 60's. Got to have him to stay around for a while to keep up the space travel. Best wishes.

Such a nice guy. Speedy recovery Paul.

No Airplane members, but Starship members do. I think David Freiberg (QMS) plays with them still and maybe Donny Baldwin who was the early 80's drummer.

Wow... Not good, but on the bright side, at least he's on the road to Healthyville... Best wishes.
