Pawn Stars

I always loved the ones where someone would come in and tell some story about how their long lost beloved grandpa or whatever left them this super valuable whatsit, its determined to be a fake, and they walk away happily with 50 bucks or something. I'm guessing its really just something they found at a yard sale and just add the story in to try and get some sympathy dollars.

We have been to both Pawn and Pickers. Inside at Pawn when filming and yes it is staged. Like all other reality shows or it would be boring and you would change the channel after a few minutes. Pre written script

I'm surprised that anyone would think it was not staged. Even so it's a good show, it's a thinly-disguised history lesson.

The Old Man was a class act. Reminded me of my uncle. It was worth watching just for him.

obviously prescript-ed

i can handle Ricks history lessons, but it is just too much when youhear chumlee or cory suddenly be expert on stuff
would also be interesting to see them sell some thing, even pawn something.
guess Rick has bottomless pockets cause all they ever do is buy

I hope Chumlee didn't work for you.
Strange (but true) fact: Chum (supposedly) has the highest net worth of all the Pawn Stars guys. They must have inherited a bunch of dough when The Old Man died, Rick`s been spending like a drunken sailor. On a recent trip to England, he spent $800,000 on a Banksy painting, which hangs in his new art gallery down the street from the pawn shop.

Kind of surprising how much knowledge a pawn shop owner has on stuff, same with an auctioneer. Those guys know their stuff. Those shows are pretty entertaining sometimes though.
