Paypal safety precautions

Anyone use those preloaded "credit cards" for Paypal ? I work with a guy that says Paypal is not secure so he bought one at WalMart and then loads the money he needs for his transaction onto his prepay card and then uses that to transfer the funds onto Paypal. I would assume the safest most secure way to get money out of your Paypal account is to have them cut you a check. There are some horror stories out there about people being ripped off by hackers and scammers via Paypal. I am sure it is rare but apparently it does happen.

I never click on any PayPal link in my emails. I always go to PayPal and log in directly. I've only been dealing with them for a little more than 3 years but I haven't had any problems. I have received several bogus PayPal emails with links to sign in thru but they just always look phishy. I think they all inform me that there is some kind of issue with my account. When I log in directly thru PayPal there aren't any issues with anything. Beware the emails.

Thank...I have always logged on through EBay. Your advice to not open PayPal emails is a good idea.
