Hey all, what kind of rigs are you running? Any Games you're excited about? I run an HP Omen gaming laptop with an RTX 2060 GPU. Went with a laptop as I was living in a school bus at the time but am very much looking forward to building a desktop in the next few years.

I have been replaying Cyberpunk 2077 recently, have not touched it for quite a while and the new updates have really changed a few things. I hop on COD now and then with a few buddies of mine now and then, oftentimes getting ended by some 14 year olds lol. Checked out Palworld and found it to be pretty entertaining as well. Looking forward to the updates and addition of new pals. Have been diving a bit into older win3.2 games as there is some real gold from that era.

If you play COD mobile look me up. My handle is the same as my gamer ID. I lay waste to almost everyone with just a bolt action rifle lol

I do most of my gaming on my xbox series x.

I bought an alienware aurora r16 with an i9-13900F with a RTX 4090.
I think that it's still crazy that the 4090 is still banned for export for AI concerns and maybe political reasons.
We live in a weird time and place when people compare the 4090 to a weapon of mass destruction online.

I also own a dell g15 laptop with a Ryzen 7 5800H with a RTX 3050 Ti

I play alot of GTA Online, old fps, sim like games on the PC (like cities skylines).

My gaming PC is super outdated but it held it's own very well for 8 years in no small part to the kind of games I'm into where at most I had to dial back the settings to medium. The last game that graced this relic of a PC before it stopped posting (right as AMD bulldozer parts started being scalped online) was Sonic Frontiers which ran far better than I expected at max settings with only minor occasional stutters from boosting through the 2nd open zone level.

AMD FX-8350
16GB G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 RAM
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 motherboard
Nvidia GeForce GTX1080

I moved all of my daily work to Mac and I don't game much in general so I am currently putting off building another PC to focus on more important matters. I'm planning to go Intel whenever I start building my next rig because the LGA1700 chipset gives me a lot of upgrade flexibility if I choose to start cheap and go with a 12th gen processor.

I bought mine three years ago, mainly for image editing, but have been doing computer gaming since Planetfall on a Northgate 8088.

Diablo and Age of Empires are my current favorites.

AMD Ryzen 5600x
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 gb Red Devil)
64 gb G.Skill DDR
(2) WD NvMe2 drives

How to start building my next rig?

That’s a solid setup! Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way with all the updates, and Palworld is pretty fun too. Those COD matches with 14-year-olds can be brutal! I also love the idea of revisiting older games. Some of those classics are still worth playing today.
