Peaches Record Crates

Yes, I remember Peaches very well. The old A&P on Peachtree Street, Atlanta, was "the" big store. I spent hours in there. Probably bought my original pressing of "Eat A Peach" there too!

Lol. Would've never expected these to become desirable collectibles..... Plus I really can't believe that someone is making reproductions.

I probably still have mine but I'm not sure. I shopped at Peaches in Dayton "way back when"......

I used to use apple crates back in the day when my collection was few hundred. Lots of nostalgia not a lot of storage space.

Yup, I remember those well. Memphis had a large Peaches record store. I had a few of their record crates. I lined the bottoms with masonite to keep the bottom of the jackets from getting torn up from the rough wood slats.

Orange crates for me, back when they still shipped fruit in crates. It was great to go help out the local grocer by taking the "trash" off his loading dock...

I have eight, filled Peaches crates in the spare bedroom closet. Bought them on close-out at the local (West Palm Beach) Peaches Records store when it closed about 15 years ago. Sturdy, easy to assemble. (Use screws, not nails -- trust me.)

i still have one from 1983, but i think it came assembled, almost threw it out a couple of years ago.

I remember these well. However, there is no way I'd pay that place to send me one, they are gouging! $25 for an album crate that is probably not well constructed? I don't think so!

I agree. That's why I just ordered 10 of these:

Shipping was only $24 for a 10 order, but it was $13 for just one. They'll finally be off the floor.

And there's a money off coupon on FB that I didn't find until later. Drat.

That's a way better buy. Sure, it may not hold quite as many records, but those can be multi-taskers. Record holder, speaker stand, etc. Also half the price of one Peach crate.

well, I like the Peach crate, I just bought 4 of the un-assembled album size. Thanks for the link
