PEAK Company

Howdy folks, I'm struggling to find any information about the "PEAK" company aside from mentions that it may have been a subsidiary of Coral? I know there are a few turntables branded as PEAK and I've recently acquired a pair of 2-way floor speakers with PEAK badges (no sticker or model number at all) They have proprietary cast alloy horn tweeters (model HT-16 units) and 12" Rola C12MX wide range whizzer cone drivers employed as "woofers". Cabinets are really well made with a super high quality veneer. Just after some general insight into the brand name as it seems a bit mysterious that there's so little published online, any input is appreciated.

I presume you are in Australia? (mentioning Peak AND Rola)

Peak was a brand used by H Rowe and Company of Hoddle Street in Richmond Victoria. They imported and distributed Peak branded products.

They used it for Japanese sourced products in the late 60 and into the 1970s. Nikko amplifiers, speakers (likely Coral rebadged), Sanwa and Hioki test gear etc.

We have several Peak branded Nikko integrated amplifiers and as a young boy, I bought a few Peak branded small Sanwa analogue multimeters. I still have one someplace.

Here you go:

As for Rola (in Australia) by about 1965 the UK company Plessey had bought out/acquired the Aust and NZ Rola businesses and rolled them into Plessey/Rola which sold a lot of speaker drivers of their own manufacture and also rebadged Foster drivers.
