First of all, are these peavey tweeters? they look like something different to me but I can't get the model # from the seller.

Second, are they worth it or a waste of time?

no affiliation, just been looking for some big horns and think these might be the ticket. Any suggestions or comments are much appreciated.

Yeah, that's a Peavey horn (tweeter). 22A horn driver on an early model Peavey fiberglass horn. Same horn that went into the early SP1 cabinets. The woofer (more like a mid) is in a classic Perkins-type horn-loaded cabinet... very typical of that era (mid-1970s).

Don't have the model number... but those are permanent-installation speakers... like would go into a theater or club. Would have normally be used with a sub (Peavey FH1 or such). No real bass on their own (not much below about 70 Hz or so, probably)...

If the drivers are in good shape, they probably sound pretty good... but as mentioned, they would need a subwoofer...

Regards,
Gordon.
