Peavey Monitors Problems

I recently connected 3 8-ohm floor monitors together in parallel. I inadvertently disconnected the line from my mixer into the amp. I got a loud squeal, I immediately turned off the amp, but when i turned them back on the horns in all the speakers no longer work. The speakers are peavey 10 tlm floor monitors. Does anybody have any idea on what happened and how to go about fixing it.

Sounds like you blew your speakers or maybe if your lucky they have a fuse or cicuit breaker for the horns. Is there any type of fuse holder or reset button near the speaker inputs? It also could be inside?
 
You need new phragms for the horn drivers by the sounds, not sure if those use the 14XT or 22XT driver.

You might click the Parts Express link at the bottom of this page and look for replacement phragms there.

Bowtie is right... most of those TLM-series cabinets seem to use the 14XT horn driver... but there might be one with a 22XT in it, somewhere.

I just want to let you know that you were right. I got some new 22xt phragms and replaced them and they work great. Thank you for the help.

Now just remember the moral of this story, mains level turned all the way down, or power off before making or breaking ANY connections.:D
