Hello Pepa

as i can see ur also hooked on the old school Sansuis etc.
i got the nearly same story behind me as u so i was lucky 2 weeksago to grab 2 great Sansui Machines for really good price AU-X1 and AU-X11
the X-1 plays wonderfull with JBL L4312E and KS Kuecke Linea 55,530,550,Auratone 5C
the AU-11 plays also great but need some maintenance and so im looking hard for the Servicemanual and Schematics cant find it in the Inet there is only the Usermanual.maybe u can help or have an Idea or connection to Japanese Sansuistas where i can get the Service+Schematics

Nice Sansui stuff, Pepa!

My first stereo (first major purchase of my life) was Sansui AU-717, TU-717 and speakers (SPX-3500?), so I'll have those Sansui memories the rest of my life! I've also got an Alfa Romeo Spider, noticed your avatar. Alfa and Sansui.

Beautiful indeed, but you should tell us which you like best or listen to the most. How does the alpha607NRA compare to your AU X1111 Mos Vintage? Is your AU 11000 A in the same league? What about your G 22000?

If you look carefully at my posts over the last few years, I often complain about the lack of free time :tears:

It's the truth, I really didn't think I'd ever be in such a hurry :uzi: I work for one company,also I am co-owner with my wife in our private business ...two kids,a dog,... and moreover, from spring to winter, we spend a weekend time arranging our ranch (not a real ranch;mix of vineyard, orchard, forest and meadow... a place where I intend to spend my retirement days).
A lot of threds I started with:“last year I bought this....and is still packed“. For instance,911DG is still in the box... haven't even heard this amp (bagged a couple more Sansui stuff though )

I know it's a shame, but I'm still at the stage of collecting

There is still a lot of time for one...at least the prices at your side are significantly lower than in Europe :yes:



Last week I „dragged“ JBL L60 speakers for a friend. Since he is away, asked me to buy them for him. I must note that the speakers are exceptionally well preserved.A miracle happened and I had a few hours to connect them and listen.
This 20 year old JBL's are almost unknown in the U.S. because they were manufactured in Denmark and most of them were sold in Europe. Cost about $2500.

After several CDs, I can say that the speaker is very easy to listen to...to moderate volume, after that sound image becomes slightly turbid and tiring. I think that quality 10-15 cm spiked stands would greatly contributed to sound stage.

I was very persistent and crazy enough,and after several months, our room looked like this:
(I forgot to say that in the meantime I managed to get two massive G22K; thanks to friend of mine from Florida)

Speakers are WLM Diva monitor,at DIY stands ,filled with mixture of lead pellets and sand, approximately 100 pounds of weight.

Digital source,allrounder,Marantz SA-8003.

Oh, there are also three Sony’s receivers,STR-V7 on the right side of the shelves.Just in case

Been a while since peeking in here and I am just so dang impressed. I'm still learning about all brands but....Sansui keeps raising it's head as cream of the crop for sound done well. What a nice crop pepa!

Once, not so long ago, I had a chance to buy BA5k...I missed for just one day....bet is great amp :yes:

yes is true that older series have warmer sound,and heavier bass section....but I love them all....infact,I admire Sansui a lot

I love the look of that Sansui gear. I've never had the opportunity to hear anything other than a vintage Sansui CD player from the mid-80s, but I'm certain it sounds fantastic! Nice collection!
