When CD's became easily available, I wanted to replace my albums with CD's. There was a time that I figured that I would never listen to albums again. Fortunately, I did not get rid of any of my albums. I now listen to both and have the best of both worlds. Boy am I glad that I took the time to store them and move them when necessary. They do get heavy in a hurry.
 
Since I lost my First album collection to Divorce. When I started again it was first CD`s then LP`s so for me less than 10% of my CD`s overlap my LP`s.
 
with 2600 LP's and 300 CD's the % would be so skewed.

I have maybe 20 CD's that are the same as an LP in my collection.
 
I gave my "old" LP's away as they were fairly trashed so I feel no pain.
Today I have ~3K LP's and <1 CD's with a fair amount of dups.
