Perplexing Sharp RP-117

While the RP-117 has been working fine without a problem, one thing that was bugging me was the display light for side "A". While I did originally find a replacement, the bulb I originally used was not as bright as I though it should be. I went on the hunt and located some bulbs at https://www.jacksonelectricsupply.com/ . This site has a lot of bulbs. I eventually found a "DA613 T-1 1/4 Special Axial Lead Lamp 12V .055A" . I pulled it apart yesterday, put the new bulb in and put it back together. I think it took me about an hour to do the job. I am much happier with the appearance of the display. It has a nice green glow when on the "A" side. Luckily, I was able to re-use the original green vinyl sleeve that Sharp used on the original bulb. I simply slid it off the old bulb and on to the new one.
 
Perplexing in deed. I two did all the repairs you did. I even had to change out the RCA Outs as there was very little sound coming out. Now my new problem is that when I have an LP in the drawer it can't find the record. The arms go all the way to the end and then back to the beginning and won't drop on any tracks. When I hit the fwd and Rev buttons the needle knows where to stop at the beginning of the track but won't drop or raise to play the tracks on either side. It was playing for a while but then stopped.
