Hi guys,
I have acquired a perreaux 3000b power and perreaux model 11 pre amp, in fairly good cosmetic condition and do have a few issues with it.
One: using my test speakers, i basically crank the volume right up to get sound out of these, (this is a very powerfull poweramp) and should technically drive these little 100w speakers to max at only half volume.
two: when no signal is plugged through the pre amp, you can see the cones move every now and then , like there is some current sent through to speakers.
three: right channel sounds like there is a lot less high freq sound coming out of it.
If there is anyone that know this equipment well, please help, as I would love to restore this and possibly use it.
What is this gear regarded as anyway? good? so so? not so good?
