Fleetwood Mac had some of the greatest guitarist ever!!
Too bad they kept going crazy!
Peter Green is the one you always hear people talk about--and he is great--but Danny Kirwan was amazing as well. And to have done all of his great recording by the age of 22. What a shame.
Killer stuff, though: the early Fleetwood Mac.

Sadly you don’t hear Kirwan’s name mentioned much outside of hardcore Mac fans. It should be, because the kid had a melodic touch on the guitar that was magical. I was talking about this with a friend the other day: He kinda reminded me of Badfinger’s Pete Ham in the way he could wring a melody out of almost anything. Can’t think of a better way to say it. Like Ham, Danny was also one of 70s rock’s great tragedies. At least he’s alive, though, so there's hope for SOME return to music. If Greenie can do it, why can't he? :yes:
