Any use of the Audiokarma.org name or graphics requires permission from the site owners. Now, if you want to enter into a discussion with Grumpy, that's certainly doable.

Let's see what you've got, Nick. If you prefer, you can send it to me via PM, and I'll make sure Grumpy and the other stakeholders see it.

The site is well organized and I do come to visit and post up confidently. Yet, I also find the logo almost problematic for a "generic" audiophile" site. The logo doesn't represent what this site is all about only due to that modernistic celtic inspired typography for the logo. With the 'O' looking like a 'celtic cross' embraced by manies as a 'root/origin' symbol. Politically also. On the music side it's adopted by metal, dark, oï! and other cores which is not the orientation of such site IMO. At first it always bugged me off. Now, I am use to it. So yes but no stress if not.

As somebody who is unhealthily obsessed with typefaces, I never really cared for it. It serves the purpose, but looks like every 1980's to early 2000's metal band would used it.

My choice would be Microgramma, since it is the font used on a lot of classic gear.

But its just aesthetic, I don't care if it changes or stays the way it is.

all that most of these comments are doing is reinforcing my observation of how conservative the older population is. Some of this stuff is pretty unintelligent and very mean spirited. I can kinda see why people are hesitant to say "im an audiophile". that said Timmi.timmy and a few other people have given real advice and opinions that is neutral but expresses their opinion on why it shouldn't be changed. I recommend that quite a few of you take notes on how to get your point across, because you are doing the opposite. All they nicer people on this thread have changed my opinion, however all that some of these [Mod Edit] extremely conservative people are doing is throwing mental punches which does not change anyones mind, it just makes them more polarized. This is why people do not like to admit that they are audiophiles....and I don't think I will anytime soon. I think the term Audio enthusiast will do just fine. Thank you @4-2-7, @sKiZo , @7.62 and a few others for giving actual valid feedback and good advice and opinions.

Any who thats enough of this partially cancerous thread for today.

So someone disagrees with you and you label them them old and conservative? So you don't label yourself an audiophile but make sure you label yourself ageist.

^^^^THIS.

That is just plain funny.

But...

You owe me about a half a dozen paper towels that I had to use to clean up coffee that I spewed on my desk. You are just lucky that I was a able to turn my head so I missed my laptop, or you would owe me a new laptop.

One thing older persons of a community should do is teach the youth the value of tradition and history.

I see my city getting torn down, for the new and improved, erasing "Dated" structures. When they are gone the the tradition and looks of my little city by the bay will go with it. So many traditional places to shop and get things the locals have been going to for decades and a century in some cases are no longer there. The local culture is being removed for the latest greatest tech companies. The funny thing is, tech is dated as soon as it's available. There is no tradition to anything that doesn't stand the test of time.

And under the shadow of the AK graphics, many many youth come here clamoring with desire of owning and playing with equipment that's three decades older than they are. If this is not dated I don't know what is but yet something pulls them here. Maybe it's just the dated old coots that can pass on some life long knowledge of something that soon will be gone.

I just have to say, don't be in such a hurry for change, because before you know it the past will be long gone and you'll wish it was yesteryear again.
