Petra Cable for phono interconnects

Last month I picked up a Dual CS 721 that needed new cable. Someone suggested these and they have been great and a great price.

They are more pliable than the Petra's which was my biggest complaint about those.

Here they are with some Nakamichi RCA's

Thanks for the info guys! I just ordered 10' of the Gepco VDM 250 as per "kermit Z" to try. Under $6 Canadian shipped! I emailed the company for specs and they sent me the spec sheet in the link.....Gepco VDM250 Specs

Not a bad cable at a great price eh?

I had the Petra's mentioned and praised for the low capacitance -- still using them but generally don't care for the fit/finish maybe more the IC's i used were crappy.

I got turned on to the Gepco too and bought 20' but havent used them yet. However I think the Gepco's are more supple and have the great advantage that on a Technics TT I can use the stock strain relief parts. The other option is the BJCable that has very low cap. Good price but if anyone goes that route they are very large in diameter. Supple for their size but a bear of a job if they're going on a TT. The Gepco's are just right.

Going to resurrect this ancient thread one more time. I need to replace the RCA cables on my Pioneer PL 570 V1 Turntable. I have been advised (correctly) to replace entire run rather than simply repair / replace bad plug on one channel. Clearly PETRA is long gone. The Gepco that is recommended here is a VIDEO cable. Is that really the best for TT IC replacement? I have some "decent" monoprice ICs here but they are way too bulky for the PL 570. I need supple and flexible. I did find an old timer TV repairman not far from me who can do the soldering and is clearly well qualified to do so. A great old tech! A real find for where I live. $30 is all he will charge me which is a steal. But I need to bring him the cables.

Suggestions please:

TIA

Found these. Any thoughts? I priced out some top line ($3.50 a foot) gepco IC and a pair of plugs and the price was about the same ( <$10 difference).
Can't simply link so I C&P

KAB / Cardas Super Flexible Double Litz Interconnects
You choose the best wire for the tonearm, why not continue all the way to the preamp with it!
RCA-Stripped 3.5 Ft. cable is constructed using Cardas special phono cable. Rubber jacket,
braided sheild, 4 braided teflon insulated center conductors tied together to make one super signal wire
that features 24 strands of #45 Cardas Litz copper. Only 3mm wide and very flexible. 140pF total Capacitance.
Terminated in high quality RCA Plugs on one end, stripped and tinned conductors on the other or pre attached to our SL-1200 PC Board with a new ground wire.
This cable is intended to be used when one end is hardwired into a turntable.

You might try a set of one of the ART cables from KAB.

It isn't clear from the description whether these have RCAs at one end or both ends but you can always cut one set off.

Thanks Boreas,
I am awaiting a reply from KAB and Redco Audio for more clarification on cables. Thanks

I'll do it for a couple of beers

Warm is over-rated.
Well, it is also beautiful, quiet and has a great beach or two. And not a lake either.

However the ice fishing here sucks, as does the hunting and fishing in general.

Sadly there are no AKers nearby with the skills offered to help. And the CL folks here are not much more than flakes with a set of tools. The current iteration is they all buy an iPhone glass repair kit and call themselves iPhone repair specialists. I had some work done and when I dropped piece off for a minor repair the apartment was overcrowded, filthy and stank! Cigs, ashes and beer littering the dinning table / workbench. Not the environment I wanted my Thorens to be worked on in. I am happy I found this old timer with an 8.5" X 11" paper sign in window (TV VCR Reapir (sic)) of a shop in an ancient industrial warehouse park in the back of town. He had magnifying goggles on and a tweezer in his hand when he opened door for me. Cluttered with projects but it looked like a shop, not a frat house.

Is this the same cable being discussed here? As you can see, I’ve already peeled off one of the component wires. I was given this wire years ago with other equipment from my father in law. It’s just been sitting in a drawer but I’m thinking that should change.

The Petra's were black and the three rca plugs were Red, Green And Blue if my memory is not to foggy. Yours don't look like Petra's Here is a link showing the Petra's
