Phase Linear DRS900 Power Meters

Hello,
I have a Phase Linear DRS900 that sounds great, but it seems like the power meters are showing output power too high.
At very moderate volume (preamp with volume control less than 9 o'clock position), the power meters are showing output already around 5 watts or so.
I was expecting output at the volume level I was experiencing to be less than 1 watt.

Anyone out there know how to properly calibrate the power meters for accuracy?

From a cursory glance at what service info is available from hifiengine, it's not obvious to me that there is any adjustment.

You're aware of the 1/10 scale button, right? Does the display change when you alternate whether that button is in or out?

Yes, I'm aware of the 1/10 button and the meters read a lot higher when I push it.
