I acquired a pair of Phase Technology PC-500s speakers. The 6.5" mid-woofers have suffered a horrible case of foam rot as have the tweeter lenses. (that foam is GROSS! What were they thinking?).
This is my 3rd pair of Phase Tech speakers I've played with. So how different are all of the identical looking 6.5" drivers throughout the entire PC series of speakers? They each have different part numbers but they are all identical and when tested raw with a sweep tone seem to have close to the same frequency nodes and anti-nodes.
I've found a good source for open cell foam for the face of the piston drivers but the surround rings remain a challenge.
So I'm just curious if I can mix and match the 6.5" woofers and mid-woofers before paying MSE for brand new drivers.
Thanks!
