Phase tech pc 60 original vs b&w dm500

I have a pair of phase tech pc60s original. It needs a bit of TLC (refoam and recap).

Someone is selling a pair of b&w dm500. It's in excellent condition. I have yet to listen to it because it's a 40min drive...but I saw a video.

I'm wondering if I should:
A) spend the time to fix up my pc60
B) replace my pc60 with the dm500 (and sell my pc60)

The seller priced the dm500 at 160 Canadian.

The speakers will be paired with a sansui 1000x and dual 1218 in my dining room. I listen to lots of classical, jazz, r&b and 70s afrobeat.

I have loved every pair of PC60's and PC80's I've had. There's something special there. Just look at the crossover!

If you call up MSE Audio, they will sell you a new pair of woofers for them. I really recommend this as since the cone is flat, no foam is going to sit very well, and the foam on the cone has disintegrated and is hard to replace. And it's good to support a company that bothers to make drivers for very old speakers.
 
I'm not familiar with either although I do have a pair of B&W DM604 S3 -currently out of rotation, actually sold to my neighbor and waiting on him so I can deliver. I've always really liked them.

But...I looked up the PC60 and saw a very good review from Stereophile. I think giving the attention needed is the best way to go. The article mentions a matching sub-woofer, do you have that as well?

I did contact MSE last week but never heard back. I actually refoamed them, one of them turned out perfectly, one of them - as you mentioned- the foam isn't sitting correctly on the cone. I'm going to let it settle for a bit and then try again!!

I don't have the sub! Don't really need it for the dining room though
