Phase Technology PC 60 speaker question...

Hey all,

I have 2 pairs of Phase Tech PC 60 speakers from the mid-80's with walnut finish. These are not the newer black laquer model from the 90's. These are the bookshelf size that have a 6.5 inch woofer and a 1" silk dome tweeter. I want to replace all 4 woofers (one pair is missing both, the other pair has rotted out the piston drivers).

I was thinking of going through a place like parts express, but not sure how to go about matching with originals. Anyone that has these speakers that have replaced the woofers I'd like to know what brand/model number you used. What is a good 6.5 woofer for a speaker this size. Sorry don't have the frequency specs in front of me.

Any other suggestions welcome too!

I put some 6in vifa woofers in mine did not even change anything in the crossover the mounting holes lined up just right. I'll never take them out somehow I stumbled on to magic. These things sound great. The vifa's were coated paper small magnet units. I do not know why this worked so well. Try some tell me what you think

Phase Technology still supports much of it's line, and has drivers for many of their older speakers.

Thanks...this is just what I was looking for. Since I have 4 of them (2 came with no woofer's at all) I was looking for aftermarket replacement vs going thru Phase Tech. Do you have the model numbers on the vifa's. That would really help. Also, about how much did you pay?
