Very nice philco, never seen one before wonder whats in those speaker cabinets? Stupid consoles can never get away from them...yes I sent an email :D
 
That scott is a nice one, if I ever stumbled upon one I would make room some where, that is a dream radio. The first one, isn't really my style but there is something sitting behind it I like, I don't want to call though and get stuck with something else. I need to move some of these speakers out of here specially since I brought these huge altecs home.
 
Well I emailed and asked about a price etc. I get this email back:

Hi,

No I have no idea what brand the speakers might be and as for the asking price I dont seem to be able to find anything similar on ebay.

So does this mean since she can't find them on ebay she won't sell them? :scratch2:
 
??? I thought the speakers were part of the Philco unit. I don't see any other speakers in the Philco. Just point her to all the free and $20-$30 console listings on various craigslist postings, then offer her $20 for the set. Doubt she's going to get any other offers.
 
Yep she emailed me back and said make me an offer. I wrote back:

I don't even know what to offer, that is why I ask. I know what I usually pay for them but people usually have a figure in their head.

Lets see if I get a response back, I would pay more if I knew that the speakers weren't cheap o's but considering it is a just another mass produced console I wouldn't go more then 50$ but I don't like to say that because people get offended; screaming its a family heirloom etc etc etc...so please just name a figure please...I have noticed you have the ones I just want to get rid of it or the ones I think its worth 1000s of dollars and don't need to let it go right at the moment. Will update if I hear anything.
