Philips 7871 receiver problem

Hi , I have a philips 7871 reciever that is wonderful. However, it started making loud buzzing noises and crash sounds. This happened regardless of the source. It also flashed the protection mode. I shut it down. I hqave a local tech in Maine, Kent Palmer, but he cannot find any schematics or info on this receiver, Any help regarding the problem or access to information would be appreciated. i would like to save this piece if possible.

I believe the service manual for the AH787 will work. It is the silver face version. It is available at hifi engine.
