Philips Power Amp not working

I am a new user so hope I am posting this in the appropriate place. I got my Philips system out of storage from 13 years ago. Worked fine then but now have issues with the Power Amp. The model is AH 5781. The left channel is intermittent and reads HOT on the panel. The right channel doesn't work at all. The capacitors are bubbled at the top. Is it worth having repaired. I have phoned multiple audio repair shops in Alberta but none are familiar with my system. I also have the pre amp AH 5721 and the tuner AH 6731. Any input would be appreciated.

@dnewma04 do you have the manual for this amp? I saw in another thread that you might have one...

Seems to be a good amp but I have no experience with it.

I have no idea what HOT on the panel means. Once again maybe a manual would help with that. Absolutely no sound from one channel could be a bad speaker relay or something else.

I don't have a manual. I see the capacitors are bubbled on the top. Some tarnished switches etc. Thinks it needs a refurbish. Thanks
 
I actually just Googled this amp to see what would come up and there were a few previous discussions of it on here.

It is worth fixing for sure. If you can find the service manual then any tech should be able to handle the job.

Kevin - these are Gems - well worth servicing! the tuner is a very highly regarded tuner and well sought after - the preamp is excellent as well - that power amp puts out 250 watts per channel - - all US made - these came is silver and black - the 1 on the end were the black versions
I regret selling mine!
